Erika Fox

British composer and teacher

Erika Fox is a British composer and educator, with a background rooted in music. Although born in Vienna, her early life took a significant turn when, at the age of three, she relocated to England as a refugee in 1939. This move would ultimately shape her future, as she grew up in a new environment that fostered her growth as a musician.

Fox pursued her passion for music through formal education, enrolling in the Royal College of Music to study composition. Under the guidance of notable instructors such as Bernard Stevens, Jeremy Dale Roberts, and Harrison Birtwistle, she refined her skills and developed her craft. Her experiences and training have equipped her to make contributions to the field of music as both a composer and a teacher.
