Isidore Isou

Isidore Isou, originally named Isidor Goldstein, was a multifaceted Romanian-born French creative figure. Born in 1925, he went on to establish himself in various fields, including literature, theatre, and visual arts. His contributions spanned poetry, playwriting, novel writing, film direction, and economics, showcasing his diverse talents and interests.

As a key figure in the development of avant-garde movements, Isou founded Lettrism, a movement that drew inspiration from earlier artistic revolutions such as Dada and Surrealism. Through Lettrism, he explored new modes of artistic expression, pushing boundaries in literature and art.
